Aint Too Proud.....

To brag about my twin sis.
This is Misty
She's the youngest of the set.
(for those of you who haven't met her.)
She has a blog as well.
Which you should totalllly check out.
My sis is facing breast cancer.

On Thursday, we spent an all girls day
at none other than...
M.D. Anderson.

Above is a pic of our M.D. Anderson Survival Tools.
Big bags filled with books, magazines, ipods and snacks,
Laptop computer and of course.....
STARBUCKS!!!!!!

My sis had a fever and a cough and had to wear a mask
all day.
You can see how overjoyed she was about it.

She takes being at the clinic all day in stride.
When they told my sister that she was going to need a mastectomy
she replied, "Okay."
The doc said, "both breasts."
Misty said, "Good. I'll be able to wear tube tops again."

(I told you she was funny....or touched...i dunno.)
I.....am a nervous, sleepy, neurotic wreck.

I met some amazing people.
Like Sharon who brought her sister in for a followup
and discovered that the cancer had spread...everywhere.
They were still in good spirits and smiling.
I was delirious from lack of sleep
and wondering what was going on.

In the end,
Misty and I stayed at the hospital for over eight hours.
She had a gazillion tests,
ate one hamburger
and clocked over nine hours of driving time....whew!!!

But the time spent with my sis......priceless!!!!
(Hello Gubnor!!!!)
(inside joke...sorry)

I aint too proud to beg for....

ONE MORE FOLLOWER!!!!
I've NEVER had to beg to GIVE money away!!!
We're at the tail end of my giveaway and I still
have 199 followers......aaaagggggh!

Just one more and I giveaway

COME ON PEOPLE!!!!
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!

Spread the madness and I'll show some love.
Smooches!!!!!

I have to go call my sis now
and tell her that I love her.......

  8. Wow...you caught me off guard with this post and your cryptic comment. All makes sense now and I'm really glad now that I cut it. Losing some hair isn't anything like what she is facing, but with such a beautiful face! Hang in there, both of you. I'll be keeping y'all in my prayers. Tell her I'll be on the lookout for vintage tube tops!
